This 8-day magical Uganda Safari tour covers Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National park, Semuliki National Park, Sempaya Hot Springs, Wilderness tour in Queen Elizabeth National Park, in additional to Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Batwa experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Park.

Semliki National Park is one of the richest and most diverse fauna and Flora Eco-Systems in Africa. In fact, it is home to about 66% of Uganda’s total bird Species and the Country’s largest unique Butterfly Species. This means that Semuliki is one of the best places to be for your Safari tour in Uganda.

On this day, our experienced tour guide will pick you from Entebbe International Airport and take you straight to your hotel for a day’s rest. No activity is to be done on this day.

Your Uganda Mountain Gorilla and Wildlife Safari Adventure holiday tour will begin with a driver-guide meeting you at your hotel of residence in Entebbe and drive towards Western Uganda. Enroute you will tour Mukwano Tea Plantations where you will have a crop to cup experience.

After the Tea tour, you will head to Fort Portal town-the tourism City of Uganda nestled among a various Crater Lakes and Hills. You will visit Amabeere ga Nyinamwiru Caves which is a Cultural Site with remarkable history before you proceed to Kibale Forest National Park. The Amabeere ga Nyinamwiru caves is made of a rock resulting from formation of stalagmites and stalactites-information which we leave for the geographers. Enjoy the Cultural stories attached to this cave. It is settled between several trees and a beautiful water fall-the Nyakasura falls. After visiting the Caves proceed to Kibale Forest National Park for dinner and overnight.

You will proceed to Kibale National Park headquarters after your breakfast in the early morning for briefing from the experienced Wildlife rangers and then embark on a Chimpanzee Trekking excursion. Once the you find the Chimpanzees, you have a one-hour session with the Chimpanzees taking pictures and memorable videos.

Upon concluding your Chimpanzee Trekking tour in the afternoon, you will head out for a Lunch break and then go for a Community walk. This gives you a chance to explore the surrounding Crater Lakes while interacting with the local community then return to the Lodge at Sundown.

On this day, you will have an early morning breakfast and head out to the foot hills of the Rwenzori Ranges-Semliki National Park in the shadow of the Rwenzori Mountain range, on the border of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo and one of the smallest National Parks in the country.

It is covered within the phenomenal Mountains of the Moon; this unique and natural Eco- System avails the park with endless diverse Flora and Fauna that barely exists elsewhere. Expect to encounter birds such as the Rwenzori Turaco, Rwenzori Batis and a number of plant and Butterfly life as well as the famous Sempaya Hot-Springs comprising of the female and male hot springs. Surrounding the hot-springs is an assortment of wildlife including Monkeys, birds and Butterflies among others. The water oozing from the Hot- spring is often hot (almost 100 degrees Celsius) and is capable of boiling eggs and some plantain which is an experience worthwhile.

The Sempaya Hot Springs hold a history with the locals as a couple that disappeared into the forest and was never seen again. The locals believe that the man emerged as the male Hot Spring (Bitente) and the woman emerged as the female Hot Spring (Nyasimbe). To this day, the area is considered sacred in that many locals with ailments visit Nyasimbe for healing.

After lunch and exploring this magical place, you will travel to Uganda’s most popular Safari Park Destination Queen Elizabeth National Park – home to the tree climbing Lions.

After your breakfast, you will proceed to the famous Ishasha sector of the medley of wonders -Queen Elizabeth National Park for a morning game drive where you will have a chance to see the tree-climbing Lions. This amazing drive will reward you perfect spots on Lions stretched out languidly between tree trunks and branches. In addition to the fascinating Lions, you will see herds of Buffalos, Antelopes, Elephants and Hippos. After lunch you will proceed for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel for two hours, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George with abundant bird life will be sighted, Elephants, Buffaloes and hundreds of Hippos that are cooling off at the shores and this launch cruise will be one of the highlights of your Uganda wildlife Safari to Queen Elizabeth– a remarkable Safari holidays destination. Return to the hotel for dinner and appreciate the sunset.

You will depart from Kibale Forest National Park after having breakfast and travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, harboring close to half of the World’s population of the endangered Mountain Gorillas. On your way to Bwindi Forest, you will pass through Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha region which is famous for being a habitat for the tree-climbing Lions. Later in the evening you will visit the coffee farm near Bwindi and experience the crop to cup activity and return to the Lodge.

Dinner and nights rest at: Four Gorillas Lodge | Gorilla heights Lodge | Gorilla Forest Camp

After breakfast, prepare for your day’s Gorilla trekking excursion with packed lunch boxes and proceed to the Park headquarters for a briefing on the Gorilla tracking etiquette by UWA guides and rangers -tacked in your trekking Jungle boots, rain jacket with your walking sticks advance for the activity. Gorilla trekking is unpredictable; the Gorilla tracking excursion can take from 2 up to 8 hours. Be ready to walk along distance in steep and muddy conditions, the floor is always wet. Later in the afternoon proceed for a community visit where you will encounter the pygmies of Bwindi-a group of marginalized dwellers of the Forest who have lived with the endangered Mountain Gorillas for generations. Return to the Lodge for an overnight stay. Meal plan (Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast).

You will have breakfast at 8:00am and then set out on a drive back to Kampala. This will mark the end of your 8-day Ultimate Uganda gorilla and wildlife Safari in Uganda.
