Good to Know

Luxury Seychelles holiday questions, answered.

When is the best time to visit the Seychelles?

April and May, and October and November, between the monsoons, when the sea is calm and clear and the weather warm and sunny. June to September brings cooler trade winds, and December to March is hot and humid with more rain.

How do I get to the Seychelles after my safari?

By scheduled flight from Nairobi to Mahe, about three and a half hours. We connect the flight from the Maasai Mara or Amboseli so you leave the bush in the morning and reach your island by evening, with a helicopter or light aircraft onwards if needed.

What are the best luxury resorts in the Seychelles?

Fregate Island Private and Six Senses Zil Pasyon on Felicite for private islands, the Four Seasons, Anantara Maia and Kempinski on South West Mahe, Constance Lemuria on Praslin, and Story Seychelles and Hilton Northolme in the north of Mahe.

Which Seychelles island is best?

Mahe for choice and easy access, Praslin for the Vallee de Mai and Anse Lazio, La Digue for Anse Source d'Argent, and a private island such as Fregate or Felicite for complete seclusion. Many guests combine two.

How much does a luxury Seychelles holiday cost?

Our safari and Seychelles journeys start from USD 12,250 per person. Four or five nights at a luxury Seychelles resort usually adds USD 3,000 to 8,000 per person to a safari, and a private island considerably more.

How many nights should I spend in the Seychelles?

Five to seven nights, as the flight from Nairobi is longer than to Zanzibar. Split them between Mahe and Praslin, or stay on one private island.

Is the Seychelles good for a honeymoon?

It is one of the finest honeymoon destinations in the world, particularly Fregate Island Private and Six Senses Zil Pasyon, with villas above their own coves.

The Seychelles, Zanzibar or Mauritius?

The Seychelles offer the most dramatic scenery and private islands. Zanzibar is the shortest hop from a Tanzania safari, and Mauritius has the most complete resorts for families and longer stays.
