A scenic flight from Wilson Airport reaches Amboseli in under an hour. Your guide meets the aircraft and the drive into Kimana Sanctuary is a game drive in itself. Settle into your suite, take the plunge pool, then head out at four for the first proper drive and a sundowner beneath the mountain.
An early start while Kilimanjaro is clear, tracking the sanctuary's resident elephant families and, with luck, one of the great tuskers. Back for a long breakfast and a slow middle of the day. The afternoon drive runs late, into the golden hour the photographers come here for.
A full day into Amboseli National Park with a picnic lunch, for the swamps, the huge breeding herds, the pelicans and the classic view of elephants walking beneath the mountain. You return to the sanctuary in the evening, and to a table set among the acacias.
Walk with a Maasai guide, spend the morning in the photographic studio, visit a community project, take a night drive after dinner, or do none of it and stay by your pool. There is no schedule today beyond the one you make.
A final morning drive and breakfast, then the short flight back to Nairobi. Connect onward to the Maasai Mara or the coast, or transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International for your international flight home.

Kimana Sanctuary is a private conservation area leased from the Maasai community. Vehicle numbers are strictly limited, off road driving and night drives are permitted, and guests can walk with a guide, none of which is possible inside the national park.
