A short scenic flight from Wilson Airport reaches the Amboseli airstrip in under an hour. Your guide meets the aircraft and game viewing begins on the drive into the Kitirua private concession. Settle into your suite, then head out for an afternoon drive that ends with a sundowner as Kilimanjaro turns pink.
Kilimanjaro is at its clearest at dawn, so the morning drive starts early and heads into Amboseli National Park for the swamps and the breeding herds. Back at camp for a long lunch and a rest, then the afternoon belongs to the private concession, where a night drive is possible after dinner.
Choose your own pace. A walking safari with an armed Maasai guide, a deeper drive into the park, a visit to a Maasai community, or a slow start with coffee and the mountain in view. A bush breakfast is laid out somewhere it should not be possible to lay out a breakfast.
A final game drive at first light and breakfast at camp, then the flight back to Nairobi. Connect onward to the Maasai Mara, continue to the coast, or transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International for your international flight.
